Intercultural competencies

Since its founding, InAcEnCo has consistently fostered the development of intercultural competencies within its collaborative network. Therefore an international group was established to analize intercultural integration. This group consisted of more than 10 members of various nationalities, including Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Germany, Iran, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, and the United States. Additionally, contact was made with individuals from other backgrounds.
The main objective of this group was to conduct a comprehensive study on intercultural integration. To this end, meetings and activities were organized, allowing participants to become acquainted with the various represented cultures and analyze the key factors of integration. This approach enabled us to understand the specific behavioral codes of each culture and to develop both general techniques applicable to all cultures and specific techniques tailored to each individual culture.
The results of this study were crucial for the development of methods for intercultural integration, which minimize difficulties and eliminate the barriers that naturally arise in relationships between individuals of different backgrounds.
